One, the food is amazing, HOT HOT and delicious. Two the owner is amazing and the place is such a vibe. Three, kindness is everything. I’m getting married soon and I had a last minute cancellation for my hair. This was apart of a long string of hiccups and I needed a break. I was craving some soul food, called ahead because I have dietary restrictions and headed over; The owner told me to wait and gave me some special to have along with my food. I really needed that positivity and will be coming again. I got the sides, I got mac n cheese, rice & beans and yams with lemonade. Thank you so much.
One of the best southern type of foods I have had in Seattle so far. My grandma who is 85 from Texas and the most picky eater agreed it was really good. The server had so much practice with her it was insane I appreciated it so much. I had the shrimp Po Boy and she had the cat fish meal with Mac and cheese on the side. Everything was so flavorful and delicious, I can’t lie though the Mac and cheese was eh, it was ok. But I might just be real picky with my Mac and cheese. the fries were amazing though don’t let the picture fool you. I can’t wait to try everything else! We Will be back soon!
I visited around 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. My friend and I were the only people there at that time. To be clear, The Comfort Zone is in the Royal Esquire Club. The club has a lot of tables to choose from. We heard that it gets livelier as the night goes on as well. It seems like it would a nice place to spend time with good friends. As time went on, more people arrived and musicians started setting up. We left before they started playing, but it probably would have been fun to hang around. As for the service, the young lady taking our orders and delivering our food was a wonderful host. It was a pleasure talking to her and her friendly personality made me feel welcome. My friend and I ordered the hush puppies and chicken wings to start. The chicken wings tasted great and were obviously just out of the fryer because they were piping hot. For the entrée, I ordered the fried catfish, mac n cheese, and rice and beans. The fried catfish and the mac n cheese were definite highlights. The catfish was not greasy and tasted fresh with no muddiness at all. The mac n cheese was delicious as well with a thick layer of cheddar on top. I would definitely go back to visit.
I really liked the pork chops. Mac N Cheese was not my favorite and kind of disappointing as I came for mac and cheese. Greens were tasty but they also felt rewarmed and not fresh. Peach cobbler was entirely too sweet for me and I would order it again but only if I had more people eat it with. These are large servings and that I could appreciate for sure.
Brunch was absolutely amazing! I live in Redmond. Wa and it was worth the drive. A bit pricey but the atmosphere was engaging and met some great people.
My coworkers and I just enjoyed a great holiday meal together at the Comfort Zone. Talya and Scott did the upmost to make sure we all was served with delicious meals. And Oneal did a great job serving. Will be returning.
We choose here cause some of the reviews first I want to say the catfish Is good but I think it was the fish swai. Being from Louisiana that wasn't catfish. It was still good though. My girlfriend had ox tails our first time it was great. I had the pork chops I need more. I had the wings and beans also fantastic and the macaroni was good. I wanted the collard greens to go but my girlfriend was like no. So if you down here definitely visit there for some southern food.
The peach cobbler taste store bought/microwaved. There were two tiny pieces of like bone that I almost bit into. Thank goodness my tongue caught it before I bit into it.
